pro bono Introductory Session
Pro Bono is a Latin phrase for professional work undertaken voluntarily and without payment. Pro Bono services are thus known to serve the community by making the law accessible to those in need, facilitating equality and justice in society. How then do legal practitioners incorporate the spirit of Pro Bono in their lives despite their hectic schedules? What drives them to do so?
This year, we present the Pro Bono Introductory Session – an in-person panel discussion taking place during Law Camp. Legal practitioners from different practice areas will share their perspectives and experiences with doing Pro Bono work in tandem with their legal careers.
the programme
During the panel discussion, our esteemed guest panelists will share their involvement in Pro Bono work in their different capacities. There will also be a live Q&A segment where you will get the chance to pose questions directly to the panelists.
After the panel discussion, look forward to a detailed sharing of the various Pro Bono projects they can take part in as part of this year’s orientation programme. Gain an insight into what participating in a Pro Bono project might look like, and take note of the Pro Bono timeline and sign-up details through this session.
