what is pro bono?
Latin for “for the public good”, the concept of Pro Bono is synonymous with every law student. Their experiences follow them through their years in law school and beyond.
For practitioners, pro bono work entails providing free legal advice to those who do not have access to it but direly need it the most. Unlike practitioners, law students do not have the capacity to dispense legal advice. However, we do hope that through the Freshmen Orientation Programme, freshmen can learn about the essential role they can still play in making the access to justice more accessible to everyone within society!
