STUDENT LIFE FAIR
The Student Life Fair aims to introduce incoming freshmen to the array of academic and non-academic opportunities available at NUS Law. It hopes to help prepare the freshmen for their journey through law school, and give them an insight into the myriad of activities they can expect to partake in when they officially enter.
Freshies will be able to learn more about the various Law sub-clubs available, and interact with the passionate seniors in these clubs. Seniors from the Law Inter-Faculty Games (IFG) teams will also be hosting an information booth for freshies interested to join.
COURT VISITS
During Court Visits, freshmen will have the opportunity to visit either the Supreme Court or State Courts. They will have the opportunity to learn more about the history of Singapore law through interactive activities, and gain first-hand insight into how justice is administered in Singapore.
FIRM VISITS & FIRM TALKS
During these events, sponsor firms will share more about their unique features and achievements. Freshmen can ask any burning questions they have during the Q&A session, or by interacting with the speakers directly. These events either take place at the Firms’ Offices, or BTC, depending on firms' individual preferences.
PANEL DISCUSSION
The Panel Discussion is an event where accomplished law graduates working both within and outside the legal profession are invited to share with the incoming freshmen about their experiences, advice for law school, and their motivations in attaining their current accomplishments. The discussion will centre around “The Practice of Law”, and will be followed by a networking session with the speakers over refreshments.
COMPULSORY MATRICULATION TALKS
These talks range from subjects including Academics at NUS Law, Careers-related guidance, and avenues for Student Wellness at NUS. Through attending the informative talks, freshmen will be familiarised with what NUS Law offers and what support they can expect from the Faculty throughout their LLB degree.
